Manor Park - Goal
As part of the ‘Community Film Showcase’ project, this film looks at some of the problems within the Sloughs community and how most have been handled with the active involvement of the community itself.
Young people at Manor Park youth centre used to play football in the gym but it was always people of different ethnic origins against each other. Lead youth worker, Samena, decided to set up a team with coach Ian in order to help the young people integrate.
With their first tournament coming up, the group decided to document the event and show how teamwork has helped them bond and create lasting friendships for their future and helped them develop as individuals thus benefiting the wider community.
