The Mediabox and Channel 4's FourDocs Filmmaking Competition was launched in July 2007, and awarded 10 filmmakers £500 and support from an industry mentor to make their own film on a subject of their choice.
“Life is what you make it” was a runner-up in the competition. Ameena shows us what it’s like to be a young Muslim growing up in Birmingham. She talks about family and friends, going out and her love of fashion, she explains how she doesn’t let her religious beliefs hold her back.
