New Mediabox series
A new ten-part series, Best of Mediabox, showcasing the top films made by young people from across the country, will be shown on Community Channel throughout March and also be available to view on the Community Channel website. Hosted by Dianne Louise Jordan, the series includes a diverse mix of compelling documentaries, dramas, and animations, including multi-award winning drama Handle with Care.
Winner of two RTS Midlands Centre Awards in Birmingham and two awards at the Children and Young People Now Awards, Handle with Care is a powerful mix of comedy reality. The drama focuses on characters Emma and Danny, two young people both affected by domestic violence.
The series also includes the moving, Limelight Award nominated ‘My Life in a Suitcase’ and ‘Kamran's Story’, a powerful animation created by a young asylum seeker from Afghanistan, which was screened at the Human Rights Watch International Film Festival in New York in 2010 and is currently being screened across America.
