Canute

Canute is a short film investigating the issue of coastal erosion and environmental concerns that was made to support the Canute radio programme. The programme was intended primarily for young people across England, to make them aware of the problem of coastal erosion and to inform them about environmental issues. The programme also sought to inform and entertain the community as a whole, showing audiences of all ages, especially those with negative perceptions, that young people do care about the world around and value their environment.
The film and radio show were screened in front of more than 200 members of the community at the New Cut Arts Centre, Suffolk. The screening took the shape of a debate on environmental issues and the young people involved recorded feedback through video and radio.
