It Shouldn't Have Happened To Me - Pt 3

A 12-week programme of workshops facilitated by artist, working with 17-24 year old young adults who are at risk of being involved with violence or anti-social behaviour and/or those young adults who are likely to be excluded because of emotional or mental difficulties. The intention of the workshops was to raise awareness, build confidence, and encourage new learning skills, engaging young adults into a creative learning environment for 4-hours a week over a 10 week period. The anticipated number of participants in the programme of workshops was between 15-20. The actual number varied between 6-16 young adults. Working with the concept of “It Shouldn’t Have Happened To Me”, the workshop programme supported participants through creatively understand their stories using images, objects, sounds and words.
