Big mediabox

Big Mediabox is the largest grant, designed for organisations with a strong track record of developing media projects with young people. This grant can assist organisations to deliver new programmes that allow a larger group of young people to work collaboratively. Match funding of 40% of the total project cost is required, 20% of which must be cash.

Who can apply?

Open to established youth and/ or media focused organisations.Partnership funding is required.

Big Mediabox accepts applications for grants between £20,000 and £40,000, with up to 10% on capital and match funding of 40% of the total project expenditure, a minimum of 20% of this match funding must be cash. Applications requesting above or below these amounts will be rejected.

Work must be devised and led by disadvantaged young people throughout.

We are looking to see if your organisation or your partner(s) have managed media projects with a similar budget in the past and have engaged disadvantaged young people, therefore ensure you outline your last two relevant projects.

Only organisations with a legal status can apply to Big Mediabox. You must be a Limited Company (registered with Companies House); a Local Authority; a school, college or university; or a co-operative. The lead applicant needs to be legally constituted at the time of application, as we will require your company number.

Submissions reopen on Wednesday 25th November 2009.
