The Mediabox YourFilm Competition was launched in December 2008, and awarded 10 filmmakers £500 and support from a BAFTA mentor to make their own film on a subject of their choice.
"The Lash" is one of the short listed films from the competition. Two young girls learn the hard way about excessive drinking. Their friendship is tested on a drunken night out when emotions run high, jealousy takes hold and a male friend tries to help.
