In special schools like Penrose in Bridgwater the students have moderate, severe and profound multiple learning difficulties. The school uses trips to museums to supplement the students learning. Many of the students are wheelchair users but believe that this shouldn't stop them seeing everything that a museum has to offer. Some museums have gone to great lengths to make their facilities accessible whereas others have been held back by planning restrictions.
